Silva Organic Zesty Italian Sausage

Olive Oil

Garlic, Minced

Shallots, Finely Chopped

Dry White Wine

Provolone Cheese, Diced

Fontina Cheese, Diced

Cream Cheese

Hot Cherry Peppers, Minced

Fresh Basil, Finely Chopped

Fresh Rosemary, Finely Chopped

Fresh Sage, Finely Chopped

* As Needed: All Purpose Flour

                        Salt & Pepper

Warm Italian Sausage and Cheese Dip

This cheesy dip comes together in no time and keeps warm in your slow cooker while your guests enjoy it.

Directions

Heat a large saucepan over medium low heat.  Add the olive oil, shallot, and garlic.  Allow to cook for about 2 minutes until tender but not browned, then add the sausage.  Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often, then add to the crockpot along with wine, Provolone, Fontina, cream cheese, and peppers.

Set crock pot to low and allow it to cook until cheeses are melted, stirring occasionally.  Once cheeses are melted, stir in the fresh herbs and flour if it is needed to thicken the dip, or wine if it needs to be thinned out.

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes
