Silva’s Cooking Tips

Our products can be cooked a number of different ways.

  • The traditional method is to simply grill or pan-fry the sausages at a medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
  • For a kabob-style meal, try slicing and then skewering the sausages with cuts of onion and bell peppers over a grill.
  • Our products can also be sauteed in a pan with a little olive oil, and/or cooked with pasta.

Storage Tips

USDA’s recommended refrigerator and freezer storage time limits:

Sausage from raw pork, beef, chicken or turkey

  • 1-2 days at 40 degrees F in refrigerator
  • 1-2 months at 0 degrees in freezer

Smoked links and patties

  • 7 days at 40 degrees F in refrigerator
  • 1-2 months at 0 degrees in freezer
